Day 1: Explore Historic Basel Morning:

Day:

  • Basel Art Museum (Kunstmuseum): One of the oldest and most famous museums in Switzerland, with a collection of European art from the Middle Ages to modern times.
  • Tinguely Fountain (Tinguely-Brunnen): Walk to the theater square to see this unique fountain created by sculptor Jean Tinguely. The fountain consists of moving metal structures, making it particularly fascinating to watch.

Evening:

  • Walk along the Tinguely Park: Visit another museum dedicated to Jean Tinguely to better understand the artist's work. The museum is located in a park where you can enjoy an evening stroll.
  • Rhine River Cruise: End your second day in Basel with a relaxing cruise along the Rhine River, enjoying views of the city at night.
