Guide to the city of Capri for 2 days

Day 1: Exploring the city and beaches Morning

  • Arrival in Capri: Start your day with a ferry journey from Naples or Sorrento. Ferries depart early in the morning and the journey to Capri takes about an hour.
  • Piazzetta: Begin your exploration at the main square of the island, Piazzetta. This is the heart of the city, surrounded by cafes and shops. Have a coffee and enjoy the atmosphere.

Day

  • Gardens of Augustus: Take a stroll to the Gardens of Augustus, which offer stunning views of the famous Faraglioni rocks and Marina Piccola.
  • Villa San Michele: If you're interested in history and architecture, visit Villa San Michele in Anacapri. It is famous for its gardens and panoramic views.

Evening

  • Marina Piccola Beach: Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach. There are fewer crowds here, making it the perfect place to unwind.
  • Dinner: Head back to the town and have dinner at one of the local restaurants. Try traditional dishes such as "insalata caprese" or freshly prepared seafood.

Day 2: Natural wonders and shopping Morning

  • Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra): Start your day by visiting the Blue Grotto. There are fewer tourists early in the morning. You can reach it by boat or bus from Anacapri.
  • Funicular to Anacapri: Take the funicular and head up to the town of Anacapri to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and magnificent views.

Day

  • Monte Solaro: Take the chairlift to the highest point of the island - Monte Solaro. The view from there is breathtaking!
  • Shopping in Anacapri: Explore the shops in Anacapri, where you can find unique items from local artisans.

Evening

  • Villa Jovis: Explore Villa Jovis, the ancient residence of Emperor Tiberius. It is one of the most significant historical sites on the island.
  • Sunset at Faraglioni: End the day by watching the sunset with a view of the Faraglioni rocks. It is one of the most romantic spots on the island.

Tips:

  • Wear comfortable shoes, as there are many steep streets and stairs on the island.
  • Use buses and taxis to get around the island, but many places are best explored on foot.
  • Try to arrive at attractions early to avoid crowds.
