Granada is a charming city in the Andalusia region in southern Spain, known for its rich history, culture, and stunning architectural monuments. Here is a rough two-day plan in Granada:

Day 1: Historical Granada Morning:

  • Alhambra: Start the day by visiting the Alhambra, one of the most iconic historical sites in Spain. Book tickets in advance as they sell out quickly. Explore the Alcazaba fortress, the Nasrid Palaces, and the Generalife gardens. Consider taking an audio guide or a tour guide to better understand the history.

Day:

  • Albaicin: After lunch, head to the Albaicin neighborhood, the old Arab quarter. Stroll through its narrow streets and enjoy amazing views of the Alhambra from the San Nicolas viewpoint.
  • Royal Chapel of Granada: Visit the Royal Chapel where the Catholic Monarchs Isabella and Ferdinand are buried. Admire the impressive architecture and tombs.

Evening:

  • Dinner and Flamenco: Spend the evening in one of the traditional restaurants, enjoying Andalusian cuisine. Attend a flamenco show. The best places are often located in the Sacromonte neighborhood.

Day 2: Culture and Nature Morning:

  • Granada Cathedral: Start the day with a visit to the Granada Cathedral. This impressive Renaissance cathedral amazes both on the outside and inside.
  • Monastery of San Jeronimo: Visit the monastery known for its Renaissance architecture and beautiful gardens.

Day:

  • Federico Garcia Lorca Park: Enjoy a walk in one of the city's largest parks. It's a great place to relax.
  • Science Park of Granada: Learn something new by visiting the interactive science museum. Great for visiting with children.

Evening:

  • Dinner in the Realejo district: End your stay with dinner in the Realejo district, savoring the local gastronomy.
  • Night view of the Alhambra: Finally, take a walk to one of the viewpoints to admire the night panorama of the city and the Alhambra.

Granada is a city that offers a lot to its visitors. Remember to enjoy every moment of your journey!
