3-Day Las Palmas Guide

Las Palmas, the capital of the island of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands, offers many interesting places and unforgettable experiences. Here is a 3-day tour itinerary:

Day 1: Exploration of history and culture

  • Vegueta: Start your day in the historic district of Vegueta. Take a stroll through its narrow streets and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the old town. Here you will find many historical buildings and pedestrian areas.
  • Cathedral of Santa Ana: Visit the city's landmark cathedral and admire its Gothic architecture. Climb the tower for a magnificent view of the city.
  • Casa de Colón Museum: Learn more about Columbus' connections to the Canary Islands and see ancient maps and artifacts.

Day 2: Relaxation and nature

  • Alfredo Kraus Auditorium: Take a stroll along the promenade to this concert hall, which is also an interesting architectural landmark.
  • Evening on the beach: End the day by watching the sunset on the beach with dinner at one of the seaside restaurants.

Day 3: Natural beauty and local culture

  • Bandama Crater (Caldera de Bandama): Start your morning with a visit to the Bandama crater. Walk along the crater rim and enjoy panoramic views of the island.
  • Cactus Garden (Jardín Botánico Viera y Clavijo): Visit the largest botanical garden in Spain nearby, where a variety of island plants are collected.
  • Elder Museum: Return to the city and visit the Elder Science and Technology Museum, which is interesting for both adults and children.
  • Shopping on Triana Street: Take a walk along Triana shopping street. There are many shops, cafes, and souvenir shops here.
  • Farewell dinner: Book a table at one of the city's finest restaurants and enjoy Canarian dishes and the atmosphere of the trip's conclusion.
