Day 1: Morning

  • Chillon Castle: Take a bus or walk about 45 minutes along Lake Geneva to the famous Chillon Castle. Visit this medieval castle located on the lakeshore and enjoy its history and architecture.

Day

  • Lakeside promenade: Walk back to Montreux, enjoying views of the Alps and the lakeshore. Along the way, you can see the famous Freddie Mercury statue, which is a symbol of the city.
  • Lunch: Stop for lunch at one of the restaurants on the waterfront, such as "Le Palais Oriental."

Evening

  • Old Town Montreux: Explore the old streets of Montreux, visit local shops and galleries.
  • Dinner: Enjoy dinner at a lakeside restaurant, such as "Restaurant Le Museum," where you can try traditional Swiss dishes.

Day 2: Morning

  • Trip to Rochers-de-Naye: Start the day with a cogwheel train ride to Rochers-de-Naye. Once at the top, enjoy magnificent views of the Alps and Lake Geneva.

Day

  • Picnic or lunch at a restaurant: There is a restaurant at the top, but you can also have a picnic with snacks you bring along.
  • Hike: Depending on time and your fitness level, take an easy hike in the surroundings to further enjoy nature.

Evening

  • Return to Montreux: Return to the city and relax.
  • Lake cruise: At sunset, take a short cruise on Lake Geneva to see the surroundings from a different perspective.

Day 3: Morning

  • Visit museums: Start the day with a visit to one of the local museums, such as the Museum of Ancient Musical Automatons and Instruments.

Day

  • Lunch in Vevey: Take a train or bus to the neighboring town of Vevey. Enjoy lunch in one of the cozy squares of this beautiful town.
  • Visit Nest: Visit the Nest museum dedicated to the history and products of the Nestlé company, founded in Vevey.

Evening

  • Return to Montreux: Return to Montreux in the evening.
  • Farewell dinner: End your three days in Montreux with a dinner at a fine dining restaurant, such as "Le Pont de Brent," awarded a Michelin star if budget allows, or at a more affordable place with local cuisine.

Montreux offers many experiences, and this three-day itinerary will allow you to enjoy the best of them.
