Nuremberg is a beautiful city with a rich history and many interesting sights. Here is a 3-day itinerary:

Day 1: Historic city center Morning:

  • Nuremberg Castle (Nürnberger Burg): Start your day with a visit to this impressive medieval fortress. Climb the tower for a panoramic view of the city.
  • Albrecht Dürer House (Albrecht-Dürer-Haus): Visit the house where the famous artist Albrecht Dürer lived and worked. The interiors beautifully recreate the atmosphere of his time.

Day:

  • St. Sebaldus Church (St. Sebaldus Church): One of the oldest churches in the city, an authentic Gothic masterpiece.
  • Hauptmarkt (Main Market Square): Known for its Christmas market, but stunning at any time of year. Visit Our Lady's Church (Frauenkirche) and admire the Beautiful Fountain (Schöner Brunnen).

Evening:

  • Walk along the Pegnitz River promenade, enjoying the atmosphere of the old city.
  • Dinner at a traditional Bavarian restaurant: Try local delicacies such as Nuremberg sausages and sauerkraut.

Day 2: Museums and parks Morning:

  • Germanisches Nationalmuseum (German National Museum): One of the largest cultural history museums in Germany. Here you will find a wealth of artifacts, paintings, and sculptures.
  • St. Lorenz Church: Explore this magnificent Gothic church with impressive stained glass windows and interior.

Day:

  • DB Museum: Learn about the development of railway transport in Germany, where you can see many historic locomotives and wagons.
  • Luitpoldhain Park: A great place for a picnic or nature walk. Nearby is the Congress Hall and the Documentation Center of the Third Reich.

Evening:

Day 3: Modern Nuremberg and surroundings Morning:

  • Toy Museum (Spielzeugmuseum): An interesting exhibition of antique and modern toys.

Day:

  • Nuremberg Kunsthalle: Spend some time enjoying modern exhibitions and installations.
  • Nuremberg Zoo (Tiergarten Nürnberg): A lovely place for a walk and meeting various animals in a natural setting.

Evening:

  • Bike tour of the Nuremberg outskirts: End your visit with active leisure and enjoy nature and architecture beyond the city center.
  • Evening at a restaurant with a view of the city: Reflect on your trip while enjoying excellent cuisine and views.
