Guide to Ostrava for 3 days

Day 1: Historical Center and Culture Morning:

  • Start the day with breakfast at a stylish café in the city center, such as "Café Daniel" or any other local establishment.
  • Visit Masaryk Square (Masarykovo náměstí) to admire the historical architecture and atmosphere of the city.

Day:

  • Take a walk to the Ostrava Museum (Ostravské muzeum) to learn more about the rich history of the region.
  • Visit the Cathedral of the Divine Savior (Katedrála Božského Spasitele) - one of the architectural treasures of the city.
  • Have lunch at a restaurant with traditional Czech cuisine, such as "HogoFogo Bistro" or "Kopyto".

Evening:

  • Visit the Antonín Dvořák Theater (Divadlo Antonína Dvořáka) or attend a concert at one of the local music clubs.
  • Dinner at a restaurant with a panoramic view of the city, such as "Sky" or "Bolt Tower Café".

Day 2: Industrial Heritage Morning:

  • Take a tour of Dolní Vítkovice, an industrial complex that has been transformed into a cultural center. You can climb the Bolt Tower and enjoy the panoramic view.
  • Visit the Small Planetarium Exhibition and learn more about space and technology.

Day:

  • Have lunch in the Dolní Vítkovice area at the "Gong" cafeteria or another local establishment.
  • Visit Landek Park, home to the largest mining museum complex in the Czech Republic.

Evening:

  • Dinner at a restaurant in Vítkovice or return to the city center for more traditional dishes.
  • Visit clubs in the Stodolní Street area, which offer live music and plenty of entertainment.

Day 3: Nature and Relaxation Morning:

  • Have a light breakfast and head to Komenského sady, the city park, for a morning walk.
  • Visit Slezskoostravský Castle, located on the other side of the Ostravice River.

Day:

  • Have lunch at a cafe or restaurant near the river, such as "U mladého námořníka."
  • Visit Ostrava Zoo (ZOO Ostrava) - one of the largest in the country, to spend the day with family and children.

Evening:

  • Dinner at one of the restaurants in the park area or return to the center for a farewell dinner at one of the restaurants with local cuisine.
  • Finish your trip with a walk along the Ostravice River overlooking the city at night.
