Day 1: Exploring the center of Oxford

  3. Cathedral: The Christ Church Cathedral, located on the college grounds, is worth a visit.
  4. Lunch: Take a break for lunch at one of the local pubs, such as The Eagle and Child, where members of the Inklings literary group, including J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, often met.
  5. Ashmolean Museum: After lunch, head to the Ashmolean Museum, the world's first university museum with an outstanding collection of art and archaeology.
  6. Shopping on Cornmarket Street: Take a stroll down Cornmarket Street, where you'll find plenty of shops and boutiques.
  7. Dinner: Finish the day with dinner at Quod restaurant, located on High Street, offering a wonderful selection of British dishes.

Day 2: Parks and Nature

  1. Breakfast: Start your morning with breakfast at Vaults & Garden Cafe, located in a historic building.
  2. Oxford Botanic Garden: Visit one of the oldest botanical gardens in the UK, where you can see a variety of unique plants and flowers.
  3. River Thames and Punting: Take a walk along the River Thames (called Isis in Oxford) and try punting, a traditional boat ride. It's a great way to enjoy the scenery.
  4. Lunch: For lunch, try the dishes at The Perch, located right by the river.
  5. Port Meadow Park Area: After lunch, head to Port Meadow, a vast open meadow park ideal for a leisurely stroll.
  6. Dinner: Enjoy dinner at Gee’s Restaurant, offering Mediterranean cuisine.

Day 3: Art and Culture

  1. Breakfast: Start your morning with breakfast at The Missing Bean, a great local coffee shop.
  2. Museum of the History of Science: Visit this museum to see interesting exhibits dedicated to the development of science and technology.
