Palermo 2-day guide

Day 1: Morning:

  4. Teatro Massimo - after exploring the market and relaxing at the hotel, take a leisurely stroll to Teatro Massimo. Even if you don't have tickets to a performance, you will be amazed by its majestic architecture and atmosphere.

Day 2: Morning:

  1. Catacombs of the Capuchins (Catacombe dei Cappuccini) - start the day by visiting these mysterious catacombs, which serve as a unique museum of mummies. It's a creepy yet captivating place.
  2. Monreale Cathedral and Monastery (Duomo di Monreale) - a bit outside Palermo, but a must-see stop. Known for its remarkable mosaics, the church offers a breathtaking view of the city. Lunch:
    • Relax at a nearby café and enjoy the local cuisine. Try panini filled with Sicilian products. Day:
  3. Foro Italico - back in Palermo, spend some time outdoors in this picturesque park by the sea, where you can relax and watch the city life. Evening:
  4. Historical Center and Evening Stroll - end the day with a walk through the historic streets of Palermo. Explore the Vucciria district, choose a restaurant to your liking, and enjoy a night out. Throughout your journey, don't forget to try sweets like cannoli and gelato, and enjoy the hospitality of the Sicilians.
