Guide to Sintra for 3 days

Day 1: Historic Center and Palaces Morning:

  • Visit the Pena Palace - a bright and extravagant palace on top of a hill, which is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Portugal. Don't miss a walk through the Pena Park, where you will find plenty of trails and hidden corners.

Afternoon:

  • Explore the Moorish Castle and Park. The castle offers beautiful panoramic views of Sintra and the surrounding landscapes.
  • Spend the rest of the day exploring the natural trails along the Serra de Sintra. Trails of varying difficulties will allow you to enjoy the local flora and fauna.

Day 3: Surroundings of Sintra Morning:

  • Head to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean.
  • On the way back, stop in Azenhas do Mar, a small and cozy monastery surrounded by forests.

Afternoon:

  • Visit Ursa Beach, one of the most beautiful and wild beaches on the coast. Prepare for a short hike down to the beach.
  • End your day in the picturesque coastal village of Cascais. Stroll along the promenade, visit local shops, and enjoy a dinner of fresh seafood.

These three days in Sintra and its surroundings will allow you to appreciate the richness of the region's cultural and natural heritage.
