Waterford, located on the southeast coast of Ireland, is a charming city with a rich history and cultural heritage. Here is a three-day itinerary.

Day 1: Historical Heritage and City Center Morning:

  • Viking Triangle Museum: Start the day by visiting this historic area, home to three main attractions - Bishop's Palace, Reginald’s Tower, and Medieval Museum. Each of these places is unique and provides a good insight into Waterford's significance in different historical eras.

Day:

  • Waterford Crystal: Visit the famous Waterford crystal factory. A tour of the factory will show you how these incredible items are created, and you can visit the showroom.
  • Walk on the pedestrian bridge over the River Suir.

Evening:

  • Pub Culture: Experience the traditional Irish atmosphere in one of the local pubs. Try local beer and enjoy live music.

Day 2: Nature and Surroundings Morning:

  • Beach relaxation in Tramore: Just 15 km from Waterford is the wonderful Tramore, known for its beaches and water sports opportunities.

Day:

  • Comeragh Mountains: If you enjoy outdoor activities, go hiking in the Comeragh Mountains. Here you can enjoy stunning views and beautiful waterfalls.

Evening:

  • Return to the city: Relax in one of the cozy cafes or restaurants serving traditional Irish dishes.

Day 3: Cultural Immersion and Relaxation Morning:

  • Lismore Castle Arts: This contemporary art space is located in Lismore Castle and offers interesting exhibitions.

Day:

  • Mount Congreve House & Gardens: Stroll through these beautiful gardens, often regarded as some of the best public gardens in Ireland.

Evening:

  • Farewell Dinner: Enjoy a final dinner at one of Waterford's restaurants. One option is to choose a venue overlooking the River Suir to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
